The breakfast options were diverse and delicious. The rooms come with fantastic amenities. The location is unbeatable, being very central and close to various food outlets, a local pub, supermarkets, and an affordable Thai restaurant.

The place had very good staff, and the new manager, David, was welcoming; the room had a bedside table and an exceptionally comfortable bed.

Convenient location close to town center and beautiful interior design making this place feel cozy 😊. Plus, it's just a short stroll to the Kensington Tavern for some evening fun!

My recent stay at Continental Motel was exceptional. The room was spotlessly clean and had a modern bathroom. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, even turning on the air conditioning and putting milk in the fridge before my arrival. The pool and spa were fantastic amenities to relax in. The location was convenient, with supermarkets nearby. I had a great experience and highly recommend this motel.

The location is great with a supermarket and takeaways within a short walking distance. The proprieter was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The unit was very clean, comfortable bed and good water pressure. I have stayed previously and will stay again.

The only negative about the unit would be the television reception - it was quite hazy with little channel selection - more than likely because of the age of the televison set. But was it connected to Sky? Not sure, because the reception should have been much better

We would gladly come back here, everything was satisfactory.

The location was fantastic for exploring the beautiful area. It was conveniently situated near food outlets, a local pub, supermarkets, the river, and a Thai restaurant. We also enjoyed dining at Red Dining in the evening, which was located close to the hotel.

I recently stayed at a motel in Whangarei and was pleasantly surprised by the Continental Motel. Despite its age, the motel has been renovated and offers modern facilities. This is a rarity for motels in this price range in New Zealand. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location was easy to find. The room was clean and the beds were nice and soft. The kitchen was well-equipped with an oven and stove, and the bathroom even had a hair-dryer. Surprisingly, the room was quiet considering its proximity to the road. Parking was conveniently located in front of the room. Additionally, the motel was extremely accommodating to my cycling team of 12 people, providing us with 12 beds. The managers went above and beyond by doing our laundry and ensuring our stay was perfect.

I recommend this hotel.
